Thank you for your interest in the Nannen Arboretum. Your donation will help offset costs of maintaining this wonderful facility. This eight acre site is a sanctuary for hundreds of trees, shrubs, perennial flowers, herbs and nature walks. It also includes a Japanese meditation garden, a pond (Lake Nipponica), and two wonderful locations for wedding ceremonies and outdoor educational events named the Chapman Nature Sanctuary and the Northrup Nature Hall.

The Nannen Arboretum affords you an area of nature appreciation and environmental awareness. It provides education of natural resource management in plant selection for Western NY; for if it grows here in Ellicottville, NY (zone 4b), it will likely flourish in your garden.

In its effort to promote the understanding of plants, the arboretum hosts field trips for area students and tours for thousands of visitors from all over the country. Guided tours need to be set up in advance by contacting the CCE office in Ellicottville, 716-699-2377 ext. 106, and are $2.00 per person.

We also offer a special registration for our four-legged patrons, who are some of our most frequent visitors. All dogs visiting are encouraged to keep their humans leashed! As a courtesy to all visitors to the Arboretum, we ask that owners clean up after their pets.

The Cornell University Cooperative Extension’s Nannen Arboretum is a non-profit organization and for its operating budget relies primarily on voluntary support. Contributions to non-profit organizations such as the Nannen Arboretum are tax deductible.
